1. Format: Knock-Out Foursomes tournament off handicap There is no handicap limit on competitors. The Junior must have a LGU handicap. Handicap allowence half of the combined difference.
2. Entry Fee: Entry fees have been waived for 2012
3. Eligibility: Open to all clubs affiliated to the KCLGA. Junior must be under 18 years of age on the 1st February 2012. The senior member of the team (over 18) must be a member of a club affiliated to the KCLGA. Where possible we would like the "senior" to be as low a handicap as possible and an experienced player who can guide her young player through the delicate art of match play. Relatives may play with juniors if either or both of them think it a good idea.
4. Where Clubs have 2 Courses: Once a course is agreed upon, when the match is booked this must be upheld.
5. Clubs may enter as many pairs as they wish.
6. Substitutes: Should either the nominated senior or junior player be unable to play the match through illness or for any other valid reason substitutes will be allowed, provided neither player has played in another pairing in the current competition and the payer should revert to her original partner as soon as possible.. The County Organiser to be advised of any substitution before each match.
7. Green Fees: If a green fee has to be paid, it will be shared.
8. Caddies: Are not allowed in this competition
9. Golf Carts: (Buggies): Only allowed on production of a medical certificate.
10. General Rule: When a trolley ban exists it must apply to members of both teams - whether home or away. Medical dispensation not accepted. Matches must be played in accordance with 'Tees and Greens of the Day' and commence at the 1st Tee where possible.
11. Dates Offered: Home pair must contact and offer opponents three dates, including one weekend. Should the Home team not contact the Away team within a fortnight of the relevant draw being made, the Away team may choose the venue, but must at the time of contact offer three dates including one weekend, spread over not less than two weeks.Should a club already have had two consecutive home draws then they will automatically play away in the following round unless their opposition is in the same position when a draw will be made in the usual way.
12. Completion Dates: Each round must be completed on time. No extensions will be allowed.
13. Results: The result of each match to be telephoned, or emailed, to the Organiser by the winning team within 48 hours and confirmed in writing if a message is left. If the match is played on the last date, the result must be telephoned immediately.
14. Finals Day: As far as is practicable, SEMI FINALS and FINAL will be held on a neutral course. The final will be held on a separate day and in the presence of a referee from the KCLGA. Players are required to change for Presentation and tea.
15. Trophy: Will be presented to the winners on Finals Day to be held for one year. The winning club will receive a memento and the Runners Up a framed certificate.
16. Thunderstorms: In the event of a storm players should mark their balls, return to the Clubhouse and resume play as soon as possible. If the course remains closed for the day, the match shall be rearranged and play shall commence on the tee of the incomplete hole.
17. Practice Rounds: Courtesy for Practice Rounds is at the diecretion of the club and permission should be sought from the Manager/Secretary prior tp the game.
18. The Committee's decision is final if any incident not covered in these rules occurs.
