(1) Biannual Golf Club Membership Questionnaire Now Open
As part of England Golf’s research strategy, the Golf Club Membership Questionnaire is distributed to all affiliated golf clubs every two years.

Sports Marketing Surveys Inc. have been commissioned to conduct this survey. Your responses will be kept confidential and will only be reported in aggregate with those of other participants, so please be as honest as you can be.

The results from the survey will provide a comprehensive picture of what is happening in golf clubs, including trends over time, key themes and more importantly, areas of best practice that we can share through initiatives at club level.

The questionnaire can either be compleed online by clicking the link below or by hard copy. Please get in touch if you would like a hard copy of the questionnaire.

The closing date for responses is Sunday 31st March. All responses received before this date will be entered into a prize draw to win one of five £50 Amazon Vouchers.

(3) Golf Club Management Group Update – Save Money on bills now!
Back in November 2017, England Golf announced its partnership with the Golf Management Group (GMG) to help golf clubs cut costs without compromising on quality. GMG is a purchasing alliance that uses its collective power to get significant discounts for golf clubs.

Three months on and numerous clubs are starting to see the benefit of working with GMG:
• 137 golf clubs registered (a number in Kent)
• 33 clubs already making savings
• £158,725 total savings to date including over £18,000 saved at one club
Why not see if you could save money at your club?

All affiliated clubs can receive free GMG membership for a year (usually £149).
Membership gives you access to teams of experts who look at your club’s expenditure and report back on potential savings in key areas such as energy, food & beverage and insurance.

To register your interest and capitalise on your free year’s worth of GMG membership, simply register below.

(4) Worldwide Handicapping System Workshops in Kent – Book your free place now
England Golf are working closely with The USGA and The R&A to help introduce the new single World Handicap System for the sport. Together with golf’s handicapping authorities they are developing a universal system which will apply all over the world.

Workshops are being run across England this Spring in association with your County Union, hosted and presented by England Golf, in order to outline the proposals and how they will impact on your golf club. Subsequent and more-detailed workshops will be run in the Autumn.

We are able to accommodate a maximum of 2 delegates per club at these workshops and would strongly urge you to attend. These delegates can be made up of anyone involved in the administration of handicaps.

We have two workshops in Kent both taking place on 3rd May at West Malling GC. There is an afternoon session from 13:30-16:30 and an evening session from 17:30-20:30.

Places are available on a strictly ‘first come, first serve’ basis.
