1. Format: Knock-Out Foursomes tournament off handicap plus to 14. Handicap allowance half of the difference in combined handicaps.
2. Entry Fee: £5 per pair
3. Eligibility: Open to all clubs affiliated to the KCLGA. All players must be members of a club affiliated to the KCLGA (Rule 6 a (ii) EWGA County Golf Regulations applies). A club may enter as many teams as it wishes. No player may play for more than one team or one club in any one season. If a player's handicap increases to over 14, after the draw has been made, she may still remain in the competition but must play off 14.
4. Where a Club has more than one Course: Once a course has been agreed upon when the match is booked this must be upheld.
5. Draw: The initial draw will cover the whole Competition and details will be sent to all clubs concerned. In the first round the top team of each match will play at home, after which there will be a draw to decide which team will play at home or away - notification will be sent to all competitors advising them the outcome of the draw.
Should a club already have had two consecutive home draws, then they will automatically play away in the following round - unless their opposition is in the same position, when a draw will be made in the usual way.
6. Green Fees: If a green fee has to be paid, it will be shared.
7. Caddies: Can give advice and go on the green to attend the flag, but they must be lady members of a club affiliated to the County.
8. Golf Carts: (Buggies): Only allowed on production of a medical certificate.
9. General Rule: When a trolley ban exists it must apply to members of both teams - whether home or away. Medical dispensation not accepted. Matches must be played in accordance with 'Tees and Greens of the Day' and commence at the 1st Tee where possible.
10. Dates Offered: Home team to make contact and offer, within two weeks of the date of the draw, at least three dates, spread over not less than two weeks, which must include both mid-week and weekend dates. Should the Home team not contact the Away team within a fortnight of the relevant draw being made, the Away team may choose the venue, but must at the time of contact offer three dates, spread over not less than two weeks, which must include both mid-week and weekend dates.
11. Completion Dates: Each round must be completed on time. No extensions will be allowed
12. Substitutes: Each team can only make one substitution and only after the first match has been completed. A substitute cannot have played, or subsequently play, for any other team in the competition in that year. If the substitute has a handicap higher than 14, she must play off 14 in the competition, subject to Rule 3 above. The County Organiser must be advised of any substitution before each match.
13. Results: It is the responsibility of both teams to email or telephone the result of each match to the organiser within 48 hours and confirmed in writing if a telephone message is left. If the match is played on the last date, the result must be telephoned immediately.
14. Finals Day: As far as is practicable, SEMI FINALS and FINAL will be held on a neutral course. The final will be held on a separate day* and in the presence of a referee from the KCLGA. Players are required to change for Presentation and tea.
15. Trophy: Will be presented to the winners on Finals Day to be held for one year. The winning club will receive a memento; the Runners Up will received a framed certificate.
16. Thunderstorms: In the event of a storm players should mark their balls, return to the clubhouse and resume play as soon as possible. If the course remains closed for the day, the match shall be rearranged and play shall commence on the tee of the incomplete hole.
17.Practise Rounds: Courtesies for Practise Rounds are at Club's discretion and permission should be sought from the Manager/Secretary prior to the game..
18. The Committee's decision is final if any incident not covered in these rules occurs.
