RULES FOR THE THREE FEATHERS

* denotes home player
Format: Individual knockout tournament off handicap for players aged 18 years and over in 3 divisions.Plus-13, 14-24, 25-35 (36 handicaps not eligible) Handicap allowencefull difference in handicap. If a player's handicap increases and is outside the limit of the division she must play off the maximum handicap in that division. If a player's handicap reduces and is below the handicap rande she must stay in the division but play off her new handicap.
2. Entry Fee: £5 per player
3. Eligibility: Open to all clubs affiliated to the KCLGA. All players must be members of a club affiliated to the KCLGA (Rule 6 a (ii) EWGA County Golf Regulations applies). No player may represent more than one club during the course of the event. A club may only enter one team.
4. Where Clubs have 2 Courses: once a course is agreed upon, when the match is booked, this must be upheld.
5. Draw: The top player of each match will play at home for the first round only. In subsequent rounds there will be a draw to decide home or away. Finalists and semi finalists will be placed in opposite sides of the draw the following year. Should a player already have had two consecutive home draws, then they will automatically play away in the following round - unless their opposition is in the same position, when a draw will be made in the usual way.
6. Green Fees: If a green fee has to be paid, it will be shared.
7. Caddies: Can give advice and may go on the green to attend the flag, but they must be lady members of a club affiliated to the County.
8. Golf Carts: (Buggies): Only allowed with a medical certificate, produced on entry.
9. General Rule: When a trolley ban exists it must apply to members of both teams - whether home or away. Medical dispensation not accepted. Matches should be played in accordance with 'Tees and Greens of the Day' and commence at the 1st Tee where possible.
10. Dates Offerered: Home player must make contact and offer both mid-week and weekend dates, spread over not less than two weeks of the relevant draw date. If she fails to do this the opponent may claim the home draw.
11. Completion Dates: Each round must be completed on time. No extentions will be give.12: Substitutes: No substitutes will be allowed.

13. Results: The result of each match to be telephoned or emailed to the Organiser by both teams within 48 hours and confirmed on the relevant result slip if a message is left. If the match is played on the last date the result must be telephoned immediately.
14. Semi/Finals Day: All three semi finals will be played on neutral courses. Finals will be played on the same day and as far as practicable on a neutral course and in the presence of a referee from the KCLGA. Players will be required to change for presentation and tea.
15. Trophy: The Gold, Silver or Bronze "Three Feathers" trophy will be held by the respective winners for one year. They will also receive a memento and the runners-up a framed certificate.
16. Thunderstorms: In the event of a storm players should mark their balls, return to the clubhouse and resume play as soon as possible. If the course remains closed for the day, the match shall be rearranged and play shall commence on the tee of the incomplete hole.
17. Practise rounds: Courtesies for Practise rounds are at the Club's discretion and permission should be sought from the Manager/Secretary prior to the game.
18. The Committee's decision is final if any incident not covered in these rules occurs.
